2008 Jorge Ordonez, Garnacha de Fuego ($9.99 Whole Foods). This can be had for much less elsewhere, but definitely should be had. It is a fantastic under $10 value. Alcohol level: 14%.

It is a very nice Grenache, with a great balance of fruit, spice, alcohol, and acid.

We matched it with grillpanned lamb chops marinated in our mint, lemon, and EVOO mayonaise; green peas, and a baguette. A great Tuesday night.

Another bottle tonight with an eclectic meal of grilled Kielbasa; very fresh zucchini nuked with onion, EVOO, and grated Romano; and pasta in tomato sauce.

The wine tied it all together. Will get some more soon.

An '09 tonight with Linguini a'la Pesto and Italian Sausage with sliced tomatoes. Basil and tomatoes from our garden.

Another '09 tonight with pasta in Tomato sauce, Italian sweet sausages, and salad. Excellent. Just as good as any Italian wine at that price point.
