Had dinner with a colleaque in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Fresher than anticipated, still rather fresh and lots of red fruit at the front but with a bit more are, became a bit more aromatic, woody, leathery, but never entirely rustic. Prefer the 94's.

Agree about the '94s -- the Gran Reservas are drinking wonderfully right now, and many will continue to hold up for some time.

Maybe it's time for me to open my 94 Baroja Gran Reserva. I think I will save it until fall and plan a meal around it.
