Wow 9.00 bucks, such a deal. After finishing the last of an Arrowood Sonoma Cab from last night, we popped this little guy and we're blown away by its beauty and simplicity. Nice acidity, very velvety, soft light tannins, cherry and plum, smokey mid, with a sort of after dinner mint finish. Actually had this with a simple grilled chicken marinted in lemon, soy, and caper, and balsamic. The juices of the chicken blended perfectly with the texture of the wine. No need to decant. These Spanish wines continue to impress me, amazing value. I know it's odd to compare, but this one really outshined the highly touted (35.00) Cab from last night.
