- dozer - 06-11-2006 Very basic, tossed with linguine, any pairing suggestions? - Innkeeper - 06-11-2006 Verdicchio. Get the one in the fish shaped bottle and make a vase or chandlestick out of it. - Thomas - 06-12-2006 Do not get the one in the fish shaped bottle--the ones sent to the U.S. generally aren't the best. In fact, it isn't easy to find the best Verdicchio wines here; you need a good wine shop for that. Go with Terlano Pinot Grigio or Pinot Bianco, or another of either from Trentino. The real stuff is on a par with real Soave and real Orvieto, all of which have been given bad reputations in the U.S. because of the plonk that has been sent here in the past. |
