I am seeking info. on a bottle of spanish wine i have. it is segura viudas, i cant find were the date is on the bottle. i know it is at least 10 years old.It has a metal stamp on the front, and around the bottom.
Anyone with any info. on this please helpppppppppppp.

What you have is a Cava, which is a sparkling wine made in a similar fashion to Champagne, except that it's from Spain not France. There is no date on the bottle because it's a non-vintage sparkling wine. The bottle you describe is the Heredad version. It now retails for about $19. If you got it 10 years ago, it probably cost $8 or $9. Ten years is a long time for that wine to survive in what was probably less than perfect conditions, but you never know. Chill it and open it, but have a fresher bottle ready.
