2003 Casa de la Ermita, Monasterio de Santa Ana, Monastrell Jumilla ($8.99 Chambers Street). Alcohol level is 14%. A very lovely Mourvedre. Gives you concentrated cheeries thoughout with nice complexity in the middle with vanilla (oaky) overtones. Enjoyable wine, but did not go so well with New Hampshire's Schonland Natural Casing Franks, beans, and salad. Sigh! Good wine though. Have another.

Had the second tonight with grilled ham steak, and salad with a variety of dressings. All very nice. It comes from Chambers' "Under $10" list.

I missed this post the first time around, but it sounds right up our alley. Thanks for the heads-up.
