- Innkeeper - 09-22-2005 2004 Bodegas Luzon, Luzon, Jumilla ($6.92 Pops). Another great wine and value from Jumilla. This one is a Monastrell (Mourvedre) and Syrah blend. Alcohol level is 14.5%. Very Zin like. Gives a ton of blackberry fruit on the nose and upfront. Hugely complex with good shot of dirt and smooth tannin in the middle, and a memorable finish. Matched it with BBQd country ribs, and salad with our own Catalina Dressing (the folks around here don't like Blue Cheese!). As previouly stated this is a great wine for the bucks. We have 2/3ds of a box of it (8 bottles for those in the LA state house). - Drew - 09-22-2005 You beat me to the post...couldn't agree more. Drew - Innkeeper - 10-09-2005 Two boddles tonite. The '03 earned the #43 slot, and was a different blend. Sigh! In the meantime we had this versitile wine with broiled Kielbasa, spinach, and rolls tonight. Yum! - Mikhailoh - 12-08-2005 Had my second bottle of this last night with leftover prime rib (We celebrated the Bengals whipping up on the Steelers. Killer value, delicious. Buy by the case.
