Yee-haw! Gorgeous wine! Nose of crushed red & blue berries jumps out and slaps you up-side the head, silky smooth entry with lots more of those pretty berries on the palate, wonderful mouthfeel and long finish. With grilled chicken breasts in Willamette Valley Mustard Co. Cracked Pepper Garlic marinade and Bush's Grillin' Beans. 14.5% alc/vol and a tad less than $16 at World Market. Definitely worth the freight.

Have enjoyed every one since the stellar '02, but haven't had this yet. For some reason, we're still seeing the '05 on the shelves down here. Will look for it, and thanks for the tip!

2006 Juan Gil is $15 on Wines.com. Free shipping on the case. 12 months aged. One of the tastiest Spanish wines I've had in a while.

Bodegas Atalaya 07, and the Bodegas Tomas Cusine el Vilosell 05. Both are Rhone blends, dark fruit meaty, plum and masculine. Two other good suggestions in a similar price range in case the 06 Juan Gil is out in your area.
