Since we have a houseguest who will only drink SWs, we were pondering what to have with baked salmon pieces in aioli. So we consulted Andrea ("Great Tastes Made Simple"). She recommend a white Bordeaux with highly seasoned and sauced salmon. Didn't have one in the cellar, so we popped: 2002 Tyrrell's Long Flat White, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc, Australia ($5.99 Blue Hill Wine Shop). This has be the SW value of the year! It was wonderful and went wonderfully with the salmon.

Gives you a load of sweet floral fruit and spice on the nose and upfront. More fruit and surprising complexity across the palate, and a lovely finish. This baby is mass produced and available everywhere. Get some for the coming summer. Think it is coming anyway.
