This was a WS98 and I forget how much in WA - my first experience with a sauternes of this caliber (I've never had Yquem). $50 at Total for 375ml.

Decanted for 2 hours ahead of time. Really good. Apricot and honey for 60 seconds. Just amazing.

Grab another at that price and don't even look at it until 2020.

I would suggest the same thing. If you can find a full 750 ml, even better. 2001 Suduiraut's in Boston (if you can find one) are well north of that price. The rieussec if you can find, really is a bit better. I rather like the Giraud and the Myrat from that year. Those three 2001's (Rieussec, Giraud and Myrat) are wines that could not be more different.
