Probably could have posted this in the "Wines Without A Category" thread, but technically, I'm not sure it's actually "wine."

Bonny Doon makes a raspberry wine with grape neutral spirits called Framboise. It was delicious with some chocolate mini cakes we had for dessert this past weekend. 17% alc., and had the mouthfeel and texture of a port, but was veeeery sweet. It's all about raspberry syrup, and it's fun to drink (though dangerous -- even in our little cordials, we destroyed the 375 ml bottle in no time flat). $11, and a nice little dessert wine change of pace with chocolate. I still like Banyuls or Banfi's Rosa Regale sparkling wine with chocolate, but this was nice, too.

This is off topic as it has nothing to do with wine. If you like raspberry and chocolate you should find a La Madeleine restaurant near you and have a slice of the Sorcher Tort. That is most likely spelled incorrectly.

MCD- that is Sacher torte. WW- fruit and chocolate and bubbblies...
