1999 Hanna, Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley, $14, 5,000 cases. The wine has a lovely, fruity nose with grassy notes. Delicious Sauvignon fruit, with grapefruit and gooseberry flavors to delight the palate, finishing with zippy acidity. Very good value. I REALLY like this wine -- tastes a lot like the NZ versions.

Fish and lime juice would go nicely with this stuff, eh?

We had it with a cajun battered (light coat) seafood fry -- scallops, shrimp and halibut. Went great.

Bucko, I have been drinking Hannah's SB for a few years now and have always been impressed by the wine. What makes me wonder, however, is the price you quoted. It retails in NY City for $12.00.

I always list suggested retail price. It sells thru wine exchange for $10.
