- Bucko - 10-11-2000 1999 Hanna, Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Valley, $14, 5,000 cases. The wine has a lovely, fruity nose with grassy notes. Delicious Sauvignon fruit, with grapefruit and gooseberry flavors to delight the palate, finishing with zippy acidity. Very good value. I REALLY like this wine -- tastes a lot like the NZ versions. Bucko - mrdutton - 10-11-2000 Fish and lime juice would go nicely with this stuff, eh? - Bucko - 10-11-2000 We had it with a cajun battered (light coat) seafood fry -- scallops, shrimp and halibut. Went great. Bucko - winoweenie - 10-12-2000 Have you ever considered a 10-year-old Russian River Pinot with that dish? winoweenie ( Preferably Dehlinger hehe ) - Bucko - 10-12-2000 Pinot is for salmon, son, salmon...... Bucko - Thomas - 10-12-2000 Bucko, I have been drinking Hannah's SB for a few years now and have always been impressed by the wine. What makes me wonder, however, is the price you quoted. It retails in NY City for $12.00. - Bucko - 10-12-2000 I always list suggested retail price. It sells thru wine exchange for $10. Bucko |
