- Skeeter - 07-09-2003 A "filler" bottle, this one, brought to replace my now-departed Selaks Founders Resevre. From the bottle: "...A rainbow of apricots, passionfruit, peaches and mangos". For my money, a great easy-drinker... nice honey-esque characters and what I can best describe as a "tropical fruit-juice" kind of flavour. Only 10% alcohol, so it's very smooth too. A little shorter finishing than the Selaks, but I was expecting that. Great value, and luckily, it's a 500ml bottle, or I doubt it would have lasted as long as it did. Available on winesearcher.com for US$8.30. (I paid around NZ$18 or so, GST inclusive.) Went down VERY well with my home-made apple crumble last night. As usual, here's a look at it: http://www.lincolnwines.co.nz/heritige.htm (About halfway down the page. I haven't tried the others yet, but the vineyard is only 10 minutes drive away, so I probably will soon.) Skeeters Tasting Notes say: "No complaints here!"
