- TheEngineer - 10-22-2007 running between gates, I sometimes run up to the lounges that the airlines have to offer. This time it was in Winnipeg and it was the air canada lounge. 10 Yr old Tawny, Graham. A bit light and discombomulated. The flavours where all there, except that it was diffused and came in the mouth at periodic points of time. Strange bottle, not bad, just strange. Then again it could have been that I was running between gates. - hotwine - 10-22-2007 Might it also have been open for a couple of weeks? Would think that would be a common problem in airport bars for a tawny port. - TheEngineer - 10-23-2007 Your probably right and the bar was facing a window too. Most people were pulling on the guiness and other beer taps plus the Johnny Walker Blacks. - wondersofwine - 10-23-2007 The Cockburn 10-year Tawny Port is one of my favorites. A less sweet style than some other tawnies. I recommend trying it some time Engineer if you haven't already had it. - Bucko - 10-23-2007 For 10 y/o Tawny, Niepoort gets my buck. Very nice stuff. - Georgie - 10-23-2007 Any Port in a storm would do it for me!(sigh) |
