Is it possible to (quickly and easily) buy a 50 year old port? Seems the right thing for a 50th birthday, but...

You could also try ebay.

The best place to buy older vintage wine is Wine Commune. It is exactly the same as eBay, but wiht wine only. Selling wine on eBay is almost obsolete now. Everyone should check it out. I have found some good deals there. http://www.winecommune.com/

BTW, no one declared Port between 1950 and 1955. Graham declared in 1954, but they were the only house to do so.

To get close to 50 years, there is a 1948 Taylor on winecommune.
