- Drew - 02-27-2001 If you like late harvest Zin you'll like this. Beautiful, rich zin berry and traditional ruby port flavors enveloped in a wine with a long smooth finish. I picked this up for $11 and drank it around 50 deg.F. Don't think of this as a port. 19%Alc/vol. Drew - OportoRAH - 03-25-2001 <<Don't think of this as a port>> Actually it is, but it's not a Port (or Porto), since this wine is from a good CA Zin producer, rather than Portugal. There are a few good domestic producers of port in CA and even WA, VA and MO. Some to look for: CALIFORNIA- Quady Ficklin Praeger St. Amant Meyer (yep...Justin makes a nice one!) WA- Thurston Wolfe VA- Horton MO- Hermanhoff |
