Ravenswood Old Hill Zinfandel
$ 49.99
Ravenswood Old Hill Zinfandel is refined and reserved but, at the same time, assertive. It exudes big ripe aromas of cedar, vanilla, and dark chocolate underpinned by cherries and blackberry fruit. Powerful, rich, and somewhat gamey on the palate, the dark fruit and spice flavors persist in a long finish together with delicious vanilla and sandalwood flavors infused by the judicious use of French oak. This is an extremely alluring wine that is attractive now, but as most past vintages from this vineyard have demonstrated, will continue to get more interesting for many years.
Geyser Peak Zinfandel
$ 14.99
This zinfandel wine has a luscious deep, rich purple color. Soft, supple, rich, and fruity with a smooth velvety texture. Fragrant aromas of blackberry, plum and spice. It pairs well with tangy barbecue or herb-influenced courses such as rosemary ham.
Banfi Belnero Toscana Sangiovese
$ 29.99
An incredible value from Italy. Compare to an average store price of $50. This is a very nice Sangiovese with deep color, nose of flowers as dark cherries, a bit of sweetness and oak for taste with a nice mature finish. More fruit than tannin, rich and yet not jammy. There's a rich depth here that's uncommon in many Italian wines.
Tom Gore Chardonnay
$ 12.99
Tom Gore Chardonnay has intense aromas of ripe apple and tropical fruit, with notes of toffee and toasty oak. The wine is smooth and richly textured and medium-bodied. The oaky wine smells almost like apple pie, tastes ripe and round, and has a lingering buttery finish. Nuances like nutmeg and vanilla add to a baked apple character. Its creamy undertones are balanced with just the right amount of acidity on the palate.
Simi Reserve Chardonnay
$ 24.99
Simi's Reserve Chardonnay is made with grapes grown in the famous Russian River region of Sonoma County, California. The wine has a brilliant light straw color with a golden cast and rich flavors reminiscent of ripe tropical fruits and toasty oak. It is well balanced with acidity and has a long, lingering finish. Excellent with lobster and similarly rich seafood dishes.
This beautiful chardonnay from Franciscan Estate was wild yeast fermented with grapes grown in the Carneros AVA in Northern California, which extends into parts of both Sonoma and Napa counties. Carneros is known for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This chardonnay wine was aged for 16 months in 100% French oak, and shows nice honeysuckle, poached pear and citrus oil in a medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure and fresh style. It rivals some of our most favorite White Burgundy wines from France.
