Barrel
A barrel is a container used to store or ferment wine. As commonly found in France and the United States, barrels have a capacity of approximately 59-62 gallons.
Each barrel will make approximately 25-26 cases of wine. Wine barrels are constructed of oak wood and are either sourced and manufactured from American, French or Hungarian oak. French oak has the characteristic of resulting in a cinnamon nose on the wine.
